I’ve been busy getting goodies ready for Oly Comics Fest. It’s still more than a month away (June 7th!) This is my first table at a convention, so I want to be ready for it!
A free print-at-home version of the mini comic will be up on the site after June 7th! If you must have it now, patreons have early access!
I will have a half-table at Olympia Comics Fest in Olympia, Washington, on June 7th!
The festival is free to attend, and focuses on comics makers– cartoonists, artists, writers. Lots of indies! I will be there with stuff to sell and give away, although the nature of the stuff is yet-to-be-determined!
I set up a facebook event page, too.
I had a cold, so it was dicey there for a while. I thought I might have to postpone Page 13 a day or two, but I made it! The pages are up.
Edge animate released an update that I finally figured out how to download. It comes with responsive scaling now, so I don’t have to borrow Sarah Justine’s open code any more. It works a bit nicer now, with an option to scale both width and height to fit various screens. I plan to retrofit old pages with the new scaling.
I have a livestream channel. It lets me share my screen while I work on Nwain, and chat with friends too. It’s nice to have company when I’m working at home. I can answer questions about art, animation, and whatever I’m doing at the moment. An unforeseen side-effect of doing these livestreams, is I get to catch up with friends I haven’t seen in a while. That’s always nice. I also get to meet new friends.
I stream often, usually on weekdays, except Thursdays. I generally announce streams on my twitter, my tumblr, and the Nwain facebook page. Feel free to drop by!

Plushies win!
People love huggable stuffed animals, I guess! The cutest option, of course, is also the trickiest option. I have no idea how to make a plushie or who to ask! However, I’ve already received a few offers of help. This will be a fun project! Research and friend-making will be needed. It may take a while before plushies become real (and cost-effective), but I want to make it happen. I will trek far and wide to make the most huggable Shade plushie that I can. This is Plushie Quest!
In the mean time, I still want to work on simpler rewards. Stay tuned as I mull it over.
